MP4 HEVC (H.265) is a widely used video codec today. However, Adobe currently does not allow importing this type of video, including in Premiere, After Effects, etc.

The reason is related to copyright issues. Other popular video editing software also gradually removed the feature to import HEVC videos.
A temporary solution is to use converter software to convert the video to H.264 (such as Format Factory, FLV, Mova, etc.). However, using a converter will significantly reduce the bitrate and take up a lot of time.

The most effective solution is to install additional codecs to directly import HEVC videos into Adobe software.
To do this, you need to install two codecs: QuickTime and HEVC Video Extensions.
QuickTime can be downloaded for free from Apple's website (https://support.apple.com/vi-vn/106375).
HEVC Video Extensions is a paid plugin costing only $1 on the Microsoft Store (https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9nmzlz57r3t7).
Once you have installed both codecs and plugins, you will be able to directly import HEVC videos into Adobe. This will also work for other graphic design and editing software.
